How to Wear Prints

Designers love to mix prints, but it's not always easy for the average woman to recreate. In order to rock this trend like a pro follow the tips below.

Source

Stick with the same color family.

Use leopard print as a neutral.
Use patterned accessories.

Try a top or dress already made with mixed prints.

Stripes plus florals is a tried and true combination and is easy to work into an outfit.

Be confident! This trend isn’t for the timid.

What I Wore Today

Hey guys I just wanted to quickly show you today's outfit. Outside is soooo hot these days and I just can't take this heat. I feel like someone is following me with a blow torch. Anyway, I digress. Check out today's outfit.

Today I wore an American Eagle Outfitters tank with a nautical inspired Zara skirt, a vintage leather belt and gladiator heels.

Always On My Mind

My current obsession is oversized clutches. I just think they are so chic yet practical since they are large enough to hold all my junk.

I just purchased this clutch from eBay for $10! Its basic black so I will get lots of mileage from it.

I also love these other bags.

Coloured Rocks

Yesterday I went out for a casual dinner with my b/f and as usual he took some pictures of my outfit. Yesterday was a really nice day and as usual quite hot so I wore my Saturday staple denim shirt along with khaki Levi's shorts.

I really don't know what is going on with my face here.

These gold Ann Taylor wedges are so comfy that I have to wear them more often.

What did you guys do this weekend?

Neutrals

Let me introduce you to my latest vintage find. I love this jacket but it I have to remove the lining. This jacket is fully lined but it is tooo hot in Barbados to wear it the way it is.

This is just a quick outfit post to show you how I style this jacket.

I am very happy with my new ASOS boots although they are a bit uncomfortable to wear. Oh the price we pay for fashion.

Have a great week!

Denim DIY

I had this old denim jacket sitting in my closet for years and I had no idea what to do with it until this morning when I had the brilliant idea to turn it into a vest.

To do this I simply cut off the sleeves on the outside of the seam where the sleeves are attached.

Here is the finished product.

Today I wore this jacket with a pink and white printed dress and some flats for a quick errand run.

Bag- Blanco

What is your take on denim vests? Are they bad reminders of even worst 80's fashion ?

Wardrobe Essentials Part 1

I wanted to do a post like this for a long time because I believe that there are a few key pieces that every woman should have in her wardrobe.

1.A well tailored blazer. The addition of a blazer to an outfit gives it an instant lift in addition to adding some structure. Your initial blazer investment should be in a neutral colour like black, navy, beige or brown since you will get a lot of mileage from these colours.

Afterwards, you can go wild and add a little colour to your life.

2. A little black dress. Every woman should have a little back dress in her wardrobe. A little black dress is so versatile and can be dressed up or down and worn for many occasions. A dress in a classic cut will give you a lot of mileage.

3. Dark Denim Boot Cut Jeans. No matter what size you wear, these jeans will look good on you. This style and colour is flattering on any body type and may also be dressed up or down depending on the occasion.

These are some of the key pieces that I believe every woman should own. Unlike the thousands of trendy pieces that you can purchase these classic items are the foundations of any great wardrobe.

Stay tuned for Part 2!!

Keri Hilson.... Hot or Not?

Is it just me or does Keri Hilson try a little too hard?
In my opinion her style does not look effortless and I don't think she has found her fashion voice.
What do u think?

Bold jewellery with a bold print...... I love it

I have been seeing this blouse everywhere.

Swimsuits for Every Body Type

As we all know this is swimsuit season however, many of you might be wondering what is the best swimsuit for your body type. Well here are a few tips to help you choose the best swimsuit for you.

Small on top:

The best swimsuit for you small chested ladies is one with embellishments such as fringe, ruffles or frills on the top. These elements will draw the eyes up and create the illusion of volume on the top. Swimsuits with under wire or adjustable straps can add some lift and add cleavage. You can also look for a suit with a little bit of padding in the top.

Busty

If you are busty or full at top you should try a swim suit with under wire that gives you the support and lift like a bra. A v- neck one piece suit is also flattering for your body type because it will elongate your figure, while minimising the fullness of your breast.

A Bit of a Belly

If you have a bit of a belly, you should try a belted one piece suit. This type of swimsuit will cinch in your waist and give you that sexy hour glass figure. One piece swim suits with ruching are also great for gals with a bigger tummy since the ruching camouflages whatever you have to hide.

Bigger Booty

If you have a bigger booty you should look for a swim suit with a plunging neckline. This type of suit will bring attention to your face and help to balance you out. A swimsuit with a darker bottom and lighter top will have a great slimming effect.

I hope these tips help you to choose the best swimsuit for your body.

Enjoy your summer!!
