My Dirty Little Secret

I think the title of this post says it all. Yes everyone, I have a secret. I have been dyeing my hair black for the last 5 years. Since I really don't care too much for my natural hair colour I have taken to the bottle. The dye bottle that is.

Over the years I have tried several brands that are available on the market only to be disappointed with the results. Many brands that will not be named here left my hair feeling dry like straw. However I stumbled across the Clairol Textures and Tones brand a few years ago and I never looked back.

This permanent hair colour system has been specially designed for women of colour and it gives a rich, high  gloss finish. The colour that I use is 1N Natural lack. I think this colour looks best on me.

To ensure that your dye job turns out successfully please follow all the instructions that are provided in the package. Also don't forget to deep condition as usual after this process to put some moisture back into your hair.

Thank yo for reading.

Hair Tools- Applicator Brush

source

Having the ability to perform hair care procedures important but of equal importance is the use of the correct tools for the job. Today we will discuss the applicator brush. The applicator brush is quite an important but often overlooked hair tool and should be part of any hair care tool kit. This tool can be used in relaxer application, colour application or bleach application.

When applying hair color and bleach to the hair they can be first applied with the applicator brush evenly and then use the comb to comb it through the hair to make sure it's evenly on the hair from root to end.

The applicator brush can be used both for relaxer application for both retouches and virgin relaxers. This will allow you to apply the relaxer to the roots evenly and keep it from being messy like when using just strictly a comb.
You can part the hair with the applicator brush in subsections because the tail of the applicator brush is just like the end of a rat-tail comb.

There are several benefits to using an applicator brush during your at home services. The use of this brush:

Allows total control of the product being used
Reduces the application time of the product in half
Less Back and forth motion and overlapping of product on already chemically processed hair
Allows you to place the product close to the scalp with out actually touching the scalp

I hope this article has though you a little about the use of the applicator brush. Thanks for reading!

How to Wear Prints

Designers love to mix prints, but it's not always easy for the average woman to recreate. In order to rock this trend like a pro follow the tips below.

Source

Stick with the same color family.

Use leopard print as a neutral.
Use patterned accessories.

Try a top or dress already made with mixed prints.

Stripes plus florals is a tried and true combination and is easy to work into an outfit.

Be confident! This trend isn’t for the timid.

Always On My Mind

My current obsession is oversized clutches. I just think they are so chic yet practical since they are large enough to hold all my junk.

I just purchased this clutch from eBay for $10! Its basic black so I will get lots of mileage from it.

I also love these other bags.
