Weekend Purchases

This weekend I made to additions to my lipstick collection by purchasing two lipsticks from NYX.  Right now I am feeling really bright lip colours so I picked up Gardenia and Shiva. These are really bright, funky colours that will really draw some attention to your lips. I am really loving these colours right now.

Ladies, don't sleep on NYX lipsticks they are so creamy and moisturising and they offer great colour pay off. I will show you guys later how I wear these colours.

Time To Get My House in Order

Like the title of this post says its time for me to get my house in order; time to get my act together. For the last few weeks I have not been feeling motivated at all, like I have been spinning my wheels in the mud. Its time to get out of this rut that I am in and get back on course. It is also time to bring some balance back to my life because some aspects like work are over taking everything else and unfortunately I have been neglecting the other important facets of my life. Well quite frankly, its time to stop! Enough is enough!

Here ends my rant for the day.

Printed Blazers

Printed blazers are a really great way to add some punch and personality to your wardrobe. Since blazers have the ability to take your outfit to the next level the addition of a printed blazer will afford you fashionista status. These eye catching blazers can be worn with classic pieces but the more adventurous among us can indulge in pattern mixing.

I think vintage blazers would be great for this trend and some great vintage blazers can be found on Ebay.

Weekend Inspiration

Hey guys, I just want to show you what is inspiring me this weekend. I am toying with the idea of going back to a short crop but I have not fully made up my mind as yet. At this time, my major concern is the amount of maintenance a cut like this will require. Stay tuned for my final decision.

Cleaning Your Make Up Brushes

Cleaning your makeup brushes should become a regular part of your routine. This is necessary in order to remove bacteria, old make up, dirt, oil and dead skin cells. One of the benefits that you will receive from engaging in proper brush care is longer lasting brushes. Frequent cleaning also helps to prevent break outs  that can be caused by the debris on dirty brushes.

How often should you clean your make up brushes? I believe once a week is adequate.

Instead of buying brush cleaner is use a mild shampoo and conditioner to clean my brushes. I find that the bristles are really soft afterwards. However, if you do not want to use shampoo and conditioner you can use liquid hand soap or castile soap. Always use lukewarm water to wash your brushes, never hot water as this can destroy your brushes. Another tip is to keep the brush hairs pointing downwards during this process.

After you wash your brushes you should reshape them and allow them to dry completely by laying them flat on a paper towel.

Keeping your brushes in good condition will help to ensure that you have many years of good use.
