Coloured Rocks

Yesterday I went out for a casual dinner with my b/f and as usual he took some pictures of my outfit. Yesterday was a really nice day and as usual quite hot so I wore my Saturday staple denim shirt along with khaki Levi's shorts.

I really don't know what is going on with my face here.

These gold Ann Taylor wedges are so comfy that I have to wear them more often.

What did you guys do this weekend?

My Little Slice of Heaven

I just want to share a few pics with you of my neck of the woods. Enjoy!

Lipgloss or Lipstick?

Today I did a bit of shopping and I picked up four NYX lip glosses because I realised that my stash was getting a bit low. I actually bought NYX Girl glosses because I have found that they are cheaper than the other NYX glosses but still give the same colour pay off. The colours I purchased are Whipped, Doll Pink, Queen of Africa and Deep Red.

L-R: Doll Pink, Queen of Africa, Deep Red, Whipped

Of course I tried each one as soon as I got home and I think I have an everyday favourite already.

You guessed it! Its Doll Pink. I really like this colour. It's not too loud for everyday wear but it has just enough funk to satisfy me.

Neutrals

Let me introduce you to my latest vintage find. I love this jacket but it I have to remove the lining. This jacket is fully lined but it is tooo hot in Barbados to wear it the way it is.

This is just a quick outfit post to show you how I style this jacket.

I am very happy with my new ASOS boots although they are a bit uncomfortable to wear. Oh the price we pay for fashion.

Have a great week!

Denim DIY

I had this old denim jacket sitting in my closet for years and I had no idea what to do with it until this morning when I had the brilliant idea to turn it into a vest.

To do this I simply cut off the sleeves on the outside of the seam where the sleeves are attached.

Here is the finished product.

Today I wore this jacket with a pink and white printed dress and some flats for a quick errand run.

Dress- Michael Kors
Bag- Blanco

What is your take on denim vests? Are they bad reminders of even worst 80's fashion ?

Product Review- Creme of Nature Intensive Conditioning Treatment

Hey everyone, it's product review time! Today I would like to give you my two cents on Creme of Nature's Argan Oil Intensive Conditioning Treatment.

I have to say that I really love this product. The smell reminds me of men's cologne but I quickly got over that fact once I applied this stuff to my hair. I used this product to deep condition my hair for 20 minutes with heat after doing my normal shampoo with Queen Helene Garlic Shampoo. Anyone who has ever used this shampoo will know that it can be a little drying so it is very important to put some moisture back into your hair after its use and this product did not disappoint. The Creme of Nature Argan  Oil Intensive Conditioning Treatment had really great slip and made detangling a breeze. I must say that my hair never felt so soft before. My hair drying time was also significantly reduced when I used this product and afterwards my hair felt moisturised but not weighed down.

Did I mention that I love this product? lol

July Purchases

Last month I made a few shoe purchases from ASOS.com. This site is slowly becoming my new favourite online shopping site. These shoes are my first pairs of ankle booties (I know sad, right) and they will make a great addition to my wardrobe.

I am really happy with m purchases and can't wait to take them out for a spin. I will show you what i pair these shoes with in a later outfit post.

Im Back

I know that I have been a really bad blogger for the last few weeks but I just want to say that I'm back and open for business.

I promise to be a better blogger going forward.

Wardrobe Essentials Part 1

I wanted to do a post like this for a long time because I believe that there are a few key pieces that every woman should have in her wardrobe.

1.A well tailored blazer. The addition of a blazer to an outfit gives it an instant lift in addition to adding some structure. Your initial blazer investment should be in a neutral colour like black, navy, beige or brown since you will get a lot of mileage from these colours.

Afterwards, you can go wild and add a little colour to your life.

2. A little black dress. Every woman should have a little back dress in her wardrobe. A little black dress is so versatile and can be dressed up or down and worn for many occasions. A dress in a classic cut will give you a lot of mileage.

3. Dark Denim Boot Cut Jeans. No matter what size you wear, these jeans will look good on you. This style and colour is flattering on any body type and may also be dressed up or down depending on the occasion.

These are some of the key pieces that I believe every woman should own. Unlike the thousands of trendy pieces that you can purchase these classic items are the foundations of any great wardrobe.

Stay tuned for Part 2!!
